Next Travel Destination: Bali

Surprise! If you’re following my snapchat (@adrianajennings) or Instagram stories you would have seen that two weeks ago we spontaneously booked a trip to Bali. We leave in one week and will be staying in Seminyak for the week for some sun, surf + sleep on repeat.

We were looking for a place to go for our two year wedding anniversary (can you believe it’s been two years already?!) and explored options such as Tropical North Queensland, Northern Terriotory to see Uluru and Kakadu National Park, Fiji and even Perth. Due to our last minute booking and the fact the week of our anniversary is both a public weekend and school holidays, everything was quite booked out and prices had gone up. And for my sun loving hubby and I our ultimate idea of paradise is somewhere by the (surfable) water.

We weren’t keen on going to a place and having to change hotels every 2-3 nights, as for us it’s not a relaxing way to spend our holiday. Bali was a great option as there was still a lot of availability. Despite all the places I have traveled I have never been to Bali before. Arden has been twice before but only with his family, so we’re really excited to explore this part of the world together.

We’ll be flying the 6 hour flight from Australia with Virgin to get there, and will be staying at the beautiful Samaya villas in Seminyak. It’s incredible value – our package includes a villa with our own private lap pool and spa, breakfast included and welcome drinks. I cannot wait for tropical paradise!

Here are some photographs inspiring me for our upcoming Balinese holiday…

The beautiful history and culture. Can’t wait to keep exploring South East Asia!

Waterfall after waterfall…

I’ve heard Bali has some great food places

Hello holiday villa!

Fruit bowls are always a must!

What are your Bali suggestions? What must we eat? See? Do? Stay away from?

Love A x

  1. Cafe organic in seminyak is a must! Also known as garden gangsters! You have to go to Padang Padang beach and dreamland beach, the ubud rice terraces, single fin bar on a Sunday, gilli air island if you get time! I have a very long list Uf you need more suggestions. Shopping in seminyak is great too. Splice (in freshwater) gets a lot of their leather etc from there. X You’ll lve it xx
