Bali Bliss

Beautiful Bali! I really didn’t expect Bali to have so much to offer and as many spectacular sights to see. Although, you do need to know where to go as there is a confronting side to Bali.

For our one week Bali escape we chose to stay in Seminyak at the seaside villas at Samaya resort and spa. I cannot recommend this resort enough. Everything was perfect from the one bedroom villas with a private lap pool and a shower the size of a room, to the generous hospitality and warm kindness of the staff.

I have loved exploring the different areas that Bali has to offer. We’ve ventured north to Canguu, south to Uluwatu, north to Ubud as well as west to Nusa Dua. Uluwatu was mesmerising with its infinity pools, sweeping ocean views and great surf for hubby! The food there was mouth watering and even better since we found our favourite Acai bowls.

I also loved exploring Ubud which was more of a traditional Balinese experience particularly with the monkey forest, rice paddies and coffee plantations. They do a really great tour at the Satri coffee plantation and explain the process of making the famous Luwak coffee which is not to be missed! (Think The Bucket List movie…)

One of my favourite things about traveling is the people you meet along the way. We’ve loved getting to know our driver Mario who our family have used several times whilst here in Bali. I loved getting to know his way of life, his family as well as the Bali he loves.

Here are some snaps from our past few days exploring Bali. Check out my Instagram @goldenhourgirl and Snapchat @adrianajennings for more travel snaps.

In all honesty I loved our trip to Bali but it also made me realize how blessed I am to call Sydney, Australia home.

  1. Bali’s nice for resort living. Guess you would have seen the stark difference outside of the resorts where time might have stood still for a while. Perhaps stray outside of the surf and get to the heart of the island!
