I just made it as a Top 100 Travel Influencer for 2018!

I couldn’t believe it when the email landed in my inbox last Friday but I am so excited to share with you that I’ve been listed as a Top 100 up and coming Australian Travel and Lifestyle Influencer for 2018 with Experience Oz. You can read all about it here.

My heart jumps with joy being recognised as number 33 for up and coming talent and influence in the Australian tourism industry. It is my heart passion to take photographs and document my travels around the world, and share with you the ups and downs, good moments and bad moments, lessons and learnings that come with traveling all corners of this beautiful world (alongside living a life at home in Australia with all its magnificent coastal getaways).

I am so excited to continue sharing all my travel diaries and adventures with you and take you on the greatest journey we call life. Travel is something that is so dear to me, and is a big part of who I am and what makes me happy. Really the reason I live! Ever since I was 5 years old, I was on planes and in transit, lucky enough to see so many corners of the world.

I still remember my first overseas trip. I literally went up to my kindergarten teacher at only 5 years of age and told her I wouldn’t be at school for the next month because mum and dad were taking me to Europe, where they grew up and our family was. Somehow my memory of being in Poland, Switzerland and Venice is still so clear to me!! Ever since then, almost 20 years on, I have had the travel bug and wanderlust majorly. I’ve been back to Europe 3 times (4 times this year), the U.S, Singapore, Maldives, Hawaii, Korea, New Caledonia… see the list of the 30+ countries I’ve traveled to here.

Luckily when I met Arden, I quickly convinced him how much travel meant to me and could also change him and how he sees the world if he just opened his mind to the possibilities. There is nothing like being in foreign country, not being able to speak the language or find which way is north, yet feel completely at home because of the love and friendliness of strangers. We really all are human.

Arden and I haven’t stopped moving since, and we don’t plan to anytime soon. How can we when there is so much more of this beautiful world to see?! The more you travel, the more you want to travel. You get sucked into the natural beauty and wonders of the world and the incredible people you meet along the way. You just can’t stop.

One of my favourite quotes that perfectly captures my heart passion and obsession to see more of this world:

“The world is a book. Those who do not travel only read a page.”

– Saint Augustine
